AMCD is searching for a full time Biological Technician who has the molecular biological background and experience to assist the Molecular Entomologist to conduct arbovirus detection and insecticide resistance. 

Qualifications are: A BS in the field of biology and public health, with 2 years of laboratory experience and biology and control of mosquitoes is required, however an MS in the field of biology and public health is preferred. A Public Health Pest Control License is required within 6 months of employment.

This is a full time, non-exempt employee position, with full benefits. 

Expected Beginning Date:  approximately March 2, 2020

Annual Salary: $38,084.80

The Anastasia Mosquito Control District is in search of an experienced FULL TIME CHIEF PILOT, as the Aviation Manager for the New Aviation Department.  The Chief Pilot/Aviation Manager will directly report to the District Director and supervise a full time A & P Helicopter Mechanic and ground crew of mosquito control technicians who conduct aerial applications.

Must Have:  at least three (3) years of mosquito control experience, at least 500 hours of Bell 206 helicopter flight time, and experience in low level or agricultural spraying.  Must also have Night Vision Goggle experience and/or certification.

Must Hold: a current FAA Commercial Pilot's License (or higher) with helicopter endorsement, a current PHPC License and a current public health aerial license or obtain both within six (6) months of hire date, and a current class II or higher FAA Medical Certificate.

Full Time position with full benefits:  $35 per hour to begin or negotiable based on experience, must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma (College Degree preferred).  Background, driver's license checks and drug screens mandatory and training provided.
