CDC Entomology Branch Chief, Robert A. Wirtz will give the keynote speak. The second day will cover federal and state government, universities on mosquito-borne disease surveillance, research and control, and local mosquito control district programs. The third day will cover vendors’ programs and techniques. The topics to be addressed will pertain to mosquito population and arbovirus / mosquito-borne disease surveillance (state and local programs and surveillance techniques), insect nuisances, and mosquito control ( program evaluation, pesticide resistance and pesticide safety).\nPrevious workshop programs, keynote speakers & international guest speakers.\nWho should attend: Entomologists, biologists, epidemiologists, mosquito control workers, administrators, field inspector/sprayers, public health workers, and veterinarians.\nRegistration & Materials Fee: $50 per day, 3 day session for $150 including 3 lunches and 1 dinner.
