Anastasia Mosquito Control District at St. Augustine, Florida is searching for a full time Education and Public Relation Specialist to conduct / coordinate employee training, public education, school program, social media, and partial applied research. Expect starting Date is August 9. Annual salary is $38k-$60k with full benefits based on experience. Require an B S degree in Entomology, Biology, or plant/Horticulture. The new employee will be eligible to receive the District’s continuing education fund to pay for tuition for his/her Graduate School after passing one year probation.

AMCD is searching for a biotechnician who will coordinate and conduct the research on the relationship between the tidal wetland changes and salt marsh mosquito population in St. Johns County, Florida. This position will work/coordinate the projects between AMCD and the DEP/Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM/NERR).
This is a 3-year contract position and beginning from October 1, 2024. The annual salary is $45,760 with a full benefit.
The position requires a B.S. degree in the field of environmental science, biology, and public health, and 1 year experience in the field of biology and control of mosquitoes or pests.
