AMCD is searching for a full time Entomologist who will work at Disease Vector Education Center. The Entomologist will pin/maintain specimens, keep colonies of insects and mosquito fish for education, coordinate a subregional training program, and conduct the related projects based on the District needs. This position requires a BS degree in Entomology with experience in the field of Medical and Veterinary/Urban entomology. This is a full- time 4-year contracted position with full benefits. The position has opportunity to be promoted as a full-time permanent position. The salary is based on experience and its range is $48,000-$65,000 annually. AMCD is Hiring a Medical Entomologist position
Anastasia Mosquito Control District is searching for an accomplishment Medical Entomologist to lead the applied research and education team. The Medical Entomologist will assist the Director and District to develop the Center for Mosquito Control, Research, and Education in the northeastern Florida through a broad of collaborations with WHO, CDC, DoD, USDA, Universities, and Industries. The position requires a Ph.D. in Entomology with more than 10- year experiences in applied research and education about biology and control of mosquitoes and other disease vectors, and at least 5-year supervising experience. This is a full-time exempt career service position with full benefits. The salary is based on experiences. The start date will be March 18, 2024, or negotiation.
