ARBOVIRUS SURVEILLANCE & MOSQUITO CONTROL WORKSHOP

PURPOSE: To exchange & share information about mosquito-borne disease and vector mosquito population surveillance data, review recently developed techniques for surveillance and control of mosquitoes, and provide training for professional employees.
MAJOR TOPICS: The first day will cover international and national issues on mosquito-borne disease and control. Dr. Rogers Nasci, Branch Chief, CDC, Ft. Collins, CO. will be the Keynote Speaker. The second day will cover federal and state government universities on mosquito-borne disease surveillance, research and control, and local mosquito control district programs. The thrid day will cover vendor’s programs and techniques. The topics to be addressed will pertain to mosquitro population and arbovirus and mosquito-borne disease surveillance (state and local programs and surveillance techniques), insect nuisances, and mosquito control (program evaluation, pesticides resistance and pesticide safety.)
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Entomologists, biologists, epidemeologists, mosquito control workers, administrators, field inspector/sprayers, public health workers, and veterinarians.
REGISTRATION & MATERIALS FEES: $50.00 per day, 3 day session is $150.00 which includes 3 lunches and 1 dinner. Cash, money order, or Check will be accepted for registration fee. Make your check PAYABLE to AMCD and please note “for WORKSHOP” on your check. Please use the PAYPAL option on the registration page when you register. CEU credits (20) will be provided for attending all three days.

Exit I-95 to East 207, make a right turn to East SR 312, pass US #1 and go over the 312 Bridge. After passing the A1A intersection, make a right turn.
